KCS Super Week: A Moment to Give Back or Merely a Marketing Strategy?
On February 25th, KuCoin partnered with KCS Team to launch the latest event for its Official Token (KCS), which is their way to thank the endless support of the loyal community. The said event is referred to as KCS Week, with a series of campaigns that will run from February 25 — March 5, 2021.
They also mentioned that the digital celebration is open to all, however, exclusive for KCS holders, merchants and interested users only. Participants will receive KCS rewards once picked from four consecutive activities.
As many enthusiasts of crypto said, it could just be a marketing strategy from KCS Team to pump the token. Recently, the KCS’ price constantly played from 4$ to 6$ — considered as an achievement for the token. Numerous fans are still hoping for a higher price after the 13th burn.
Will this event make the token pop or flop?
There are four activities waiting to be accomplished. The first activity is titled Answer the KCS Pop Quiz and win 3 KCS!, where the first 300 participants to correctly answer KCS questions will each receive 3 KCS. The activity will last until February 28, 2021 (UTC); a bit longer just to select the first 300 participants. Additionally, participants must do their best to answer properly, because they can only participate once.
Other information was not included in the announcement. For instance, what could be the coverage of the quiz, the total running time of the game and other technical regulations.

The second activity is more interesting: Trade KCS in the Spot Market using API and share 10,000 USDT! And will last until March 5, 2021 (UTC).
Participants must register first.
All qualified traders during the activity period will equally share a KCS prize pool worth 5,000 USDT in the KCS trading market on Spot Market via API. This activity is only limited to traders with API traders whose trading volume is not lower than 1,000 USDT. This is an easy way out, although some fans wished to lower the minimum trading volume required.
Prizes are awesome, but considering the span of time, there will be a bustle of people. Based on the details mentioned by KuCoin, they will also rank the API trading volume and top 50 qualified API traders will be able to share another KCS prize pool worth 5,000 USDT. Suppose there were hundreds of winners, the prize would just suffice a loaf of bread.
Third activity will run from February 28 — March 5 (UTC) and is titled, Hold or use KCS to pay trading fees and win the Lucky Draw!
Once again, participants are required to register first.
KuCoin will give each user a 1 lucky ticket for every 100 KCS that they hold. Users will be able to get 1 lucky ticket for every 0.5 KCS they use to pay trading fees and can get 10 tickets at most per day.
They will receive a message that indicates the last 6-digit Arabic numerals which will also serve as the code of entry. A lucky ticket has only one chance to win and is only valid on the day of receipt.
Furthermore, Winners will be determined by matching the lucky code with the lucky ticket of each user. If there is no winner, the draw number with the smallest difference (absolute value) will be the winning number every round of the lottery activity.
The guidelines are a bit complicated and the period of time is shorter compared to the other activities. Thus, this is a big hit for the users and will surely enjoy all of these.
But there’s more!
Lastly, the activity four is named Trading Level Welfare for KCS Holders and will last until March 5, 2021 (UTC).
The instruction is simple. Once the KCS user’s holding amount reaches 50% of the minimum KCS holding amount under a specific trading fee level, the user will be able to apply for a 30-day experience of the corresponding trading level and enjoy a large fee discount.
Among all the other activities, this seems to have the biggest impact for solid fans of KCS.
To wrap things up, prizes will be distributed within 7–14 working days. In addition, with the current hype that KCS is receiving, there is a big possibility that it will reach 10$ after the Super Week. Users are expecting a large price hike and more activities to come for the following years with KCS.
