Set be an Asset: What is the mainnet of KuCoin Community Chain (KCC)

Source: https://www.kucoin.com/blog/en_US/

I never see this coming!

If you were my reader for a long time, you would know that I always root for this specific exchange. Not only once have I mentioned this exchange on my blog, and I will not deny that I look up to the roadmap and future plans of the people’s exchange.

KuCoin is one of the major exchanges all over the world. With its low transaction costs, useful bots and day-to-day operations, many people have recognized its success since its launch in 2017. Despite following them for a couple of months now, the launch of their own public chain is not something I did not expect to happen in June!

At last, on June 16, 2021, they announced their very own mainnet of KuCoin Community Chain (KCC) which has the following exciting features:

  • It has a low latency and low transaction cost
  • More secured and offers stability
  • Provide community users with better assistance through fast, cheaper and convenient service

It is indeed amazing that KCC was built by its own community and supported by the management of KuCoin. It aims to solve the existing problems that hinder the users to achieve a large-scale application of blockchain technology. Establishing KCC can get rid of the low performance and high cost issues that can be on other public chains.

Moreover, KCC is fueled by KuCoin’s own token called “KCS”. After the launching of KCC, there was a sudden pump in the market. Everyone, including me of course, was bagging some KCS for KCC to reduce transaction costs. According to their latest blog discussing KCC, it has successfully achieved faster transaction confirmation speed, higher transaction performance, and lower transaction fee.

However, if there are people here who are curious about KCC, but only have other cryptos in their virtual pockets, KCC is also compatible with Ethereum and ERC20 smart contracts, which offers extremely low migration costs for projects.

Verbatimly noted by KuCoin, KCC will improve the user experience by lowering the threshold for the landing and development of decentralized apps, while at the same time providing community users with a more convenient, faster, and lower-cost blockchain experience.

Furthermore, here’s how you add the KCC-Mainnet on Metamask:

  1. From Metamask, go to Settings.
  2. Hover your mouse to Networks

3. Add, and there, fill in these parameters:

Chaine Name: KCC-MAINNET

Chain ID: 321

Symbol: KCS

RPC URL: https://rpc-mainnet.kcc.network

Explorer URL: https://explorer.kcc.io/en

I bet this is just the beginning of a more powerful decentralization on KuCoin, and I am excited to see all these in the future. Do you also feel the same?

I’d be glad to read your comments and predictions for KuCoin. Keep safe, everyone!
